Commercial Mobile Radio Service

The PUCN does not regulate providers of commercial mobile radio service (“CMRS”). However, a CMRS provider that offers such service or intends to offer such service in Nevada must obtain a license from the PUCN. In order to obtain the license, CMRS providers must:

  1. File with the PUCN a Registration Form for Commercial Mobile Radio Service Providers.
  2. Submit to the PUCN a $200 annual licensing fee and CMRS Licensing Fee Form by July 1 each year.
  3. File with the PUCN an Updated Registration Form for Commercial Mobile Radio Service Providers if any information required by Nevada Administrative Code ("NAC") 704.7862 changes, within 30 days of having made those changes.
  4. File with the PUCN a Discontinuance of Service form within 30 days of discontinuing service.

For more information about CMRS licensing requirements, please review NAC 704.786 - 704.7864 and/or the PUCN's "Requirements to Maintain a Commercial Mobile Radio Service License" fact sheet.
